Take it to the skatepark. Ride it to school.

One scooter that does both. Pro and stunt scooters for ages 5 up: strong, one piece, no rattles. A proper all-rounder.

Start here

Measure them

Age gets you close. Height is what actually decides it.

Two eight year olds can be 15cm apart, so the scooter has to match the rider, not the birthday.

Stand them on flat ground and measure from the floor to their waist. Pick a scooter whose total height is close to that number.

The handlebars should sit around waist height. Arms neither stretched out nor bent right up, and never bars up near their face. That is what makes it comfortable, and it is what makes it safe.

Pro, trick, stunt: all the same thing

It means built stronger

A pro scooter does not fold. It has a reinforced deck, a stronger fork and wheels that survive being landed on. The same toughness riders need at the skatepark.

The bars do not adjust, and that is the point. A fixed bar is stable and quiet. Nothing to work loose, nothing to rattle, nothing to slip mid-ride.

And it is not only for tricks. That strength makes it a solid everyday ride too. Plenty of these never see a skatepark and just get ridden to school and back, which is exactly what they are built for.

  • Reinforced construction, built for skatepark tricks
  • One piece, no folding joint, which is where the strength comes from
  • Better components: tough decks, smooth bearings, and stronger PU wheels
  • The same scooters ridden by pro riders and teens pushing their skills

Pro stands for performance. On the rails, or rolling to school.

Right type?

Choose a Pro Scooter if

  • They want to try tricks, ramps or the skatepark
  • You want stronger parts that last through hard riding
  • You do not need it to fold or adjust
  • You want one scooter that does the park and the school run

If folding into a boot and a bar that adjusts as they grow matter more, our commuter scooters are the ones.

Find the one

By age, and by spec

Three levels of build. Solid is everything you need and nothing you do not. Stepped up gets you a better deck, an alloy fork and faster bearings. Top spec is a combination of the higher spec'd build and top parts.

Find their age, then their scooter preference: Solid for riding, Stepped up for intermediate, Top spec for advanced.

10 to 12 MG4 MG5 · Viral Kaos Origin 500
12 to adult Nothing at this level fits an adult. The MG6 is the simplest one that does. MG6 · Viral Extreme Origin 550

You do not have to match the level. These describe the scooter, not the rider. Plenty of people ride a top spec scooter and never do a trick, and that is exactly what it is built for.

Riding with the kids? The MG6, the Viral Extreme and the Origin 550 all fit a grown adult. Pick on the build you want, not on how good you are.

What actually changes as you go up. The bearings run ABEC-5 on the Kick Pro-X, ABEC-7 in the middle, and ABEC-11 from the Viral Purge upwards, which is what makes a scooter roll faster and stay smooth. The forks go from steel to aluminium at the Viral Kaos. Every model, top to bottom, takes a rider up to 100kg.

Safety

Wear a helmet. Every ride, not just the park ones.

These are built to be ridden hard, which is the fun of them and also the reason. We stock helmets and pads sized for the same riders, and one that actually fits matters far more than what is printed on the side.

Questions we get asked

The things people ask before they buy

They are between two sizes. Which way do I go?

Go on the waist measurement, not the age. If they are right between two, the taller one usually wins, because bars slightly low are easier to ride than bars up near the face.

Can they ride it to school, or is it only for the skatepark?

Ride it anywhere. The strength is what makes it good at the park, but it makes it a solid everyday scooter too. Plenty never see a skatepark.

Is a pro scooter too much for a beginner?

No. Pro is about how it is built, not how good you have to be. The Solid range is made to be a first scooter.

Do the handlebars adjust?

No, and that is deliberate. A fixed bar is stable and quiet, with nothing to work loose or rattle. If you want an adjustable bar that grows with the rider, look at the commuter scooters instead.

Does it fold?

No. Pro scooters are one piece for strength, and that is the main trade-off: a pro scooter does not store small or adjust, and in return it takes a lot more punishment. If folding matters more, the commuter range is the one.

What is the difference between MG and Kick?

Same job. MG runs the whole way from age 5 to adult across six sizes, so it has the one that fits whatever stage they are at. Kick does the early years in two. Pick on fit.

How much building is there?

Not much. Every scooter here arrives pre-dialled, so the bar goes on and gets clamped and that is most of it. The tools and the manual are in the box, and there is a build video for every scooter above if you would rather watch than read.

Is there a weight limit?

They are tested to 100kg. A bit over that is fine for cruising about, but not for tricks and jumps, where the landings put far more through the scooter than the rider's weight alone.

How long is the warranty?

Two years, manufacturer's warranty, on every scooter on this page.

What happens if they break something?

We stock the parts. Wheels, bearings, clamps, forks, brakes, grips and headsets, so a scooter that gets ridden hard can be fixed rather than replaced. Have a look at scooter parts, or send us a photo and we will tell you which part it is.

How do I look after it?

Scooters take a lot of impact, and the vibration from riding will work bolts loose over time. That happens on every scooter, no matter the brand or the price, so it is worth a quick check every couple of weeks and before any big session. Run over the clamp, headset, axle nuts and deck bolts and nip up anything that has moved.

It only takes a few minutes and it makes a real difference: when a bolt is loose the load goes through the part in the wrong place, and things like wheels, bearings and clamps wear out a lot faster than they should. Keeping everything tight is the single best thing you can do to keep it riding well and get the most life out of it.
